1. How much is the admission fee? And, how much are the concerts?

St. Louis, MO: Admission to the Rib America Festival is FREE before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday. A charge of $5.00 for admission will be collected upon entry at the gates after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and after 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Kansas City, MO: Admission to the American Royal Rib America Festival is FREE before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and before 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A charge of $5.00 for admission will be collected after 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Des Moines, IA: Admission to the Rib America Festival is FREE before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and 1:00 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday. A charge of $4.00 for admission will be collected after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and 1:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Des Moines Rib America Festival is presented by Dahl's Foods.

Indianapolis, IN: Admission to the Rib America Festival is FREE before 5:00 p.m. on Friday and FREE before 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. A charge of $5.00 for admission will be collected after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Children age 12 and under are admitted free of charge during the entire run of all three festivals.

Because there is not a general seating area on site (with the exception of VIP Seating), choosing a location to watch the entertainment is on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are a very limited number of reserved VIP seats available through Ticketmaster for the St. Louis, Kansas City and Indianapolis events and available through Dahl's Tickets for the Des Moines event. Tickets are limited in all three markets. All artists & times are subject to change.

2. How do I purchase food or beverages?

Food, beverage, & gaming tickets are available at the various ticket tents located on the event site.

All food, beverage, & gaming vendors will only accept TICKETS. Tickets may be purchased with cash only. See Rules & Policies.

ATMs are conveniently located directly next to the ticket tents.

4. How much are the food & beverage items?

Food & beverage items may vary by vendor in ticket price. AVERAGE ticket prices are as follows:

  • Rib Taster: 5-6 tickets
  • 1/2 Slab Ribs: 10-12 tickets
  • Full Slab Ribs: 18-20 tickets
  • Pulled Pork/Chicken Sandwich: 5-7 tickets
  • Sides (baked beans/cole slaw): 2 tickets
  • Onion Blossoms: 6 tickets
  • Spiral Spuds: 5 tickets
  • Fresh Cut Fries: 4-6 tickets
  • Roasted Sweet Corn: two for 5 tickets
  • Funnel Cakes: 4-5 tickets
  • Corn Dogs: 3 tickets
  • Bratwursts: 4 tickets
  • Deep Fried Oreos & Twinkies: 3 tickets
  • Soft Serve Ice Cream: 3-5 tickets
  • Waffle & Cake Cones: 4 tickets
  • Sundaes: 4 tickets
  • Milk Shakes: 4 tickets
  • Pizza: 3 tickets
  • Ice cream Novelties: 3 tickets

Beverages (non-alcoholic & alcoholic) range from 3 to 6 tickets varying on serving size)

Tickets are sold in strips of 7 for $10.
Tickets are also sold 2 for $3 if one does not want a full strip.

5. Where do I park?

Parking is available for a fee (fee varies) surrounding the event site. Visit individual city pages for links to parking information in each city.

6. What items am I not allowed to bring?

The following items are not permitted to be brought onto the Rib America event site at any time:

Alcohol, Drugs, Fireworks, Weapons (of any type), coolers, bottles, food or beverages, bicycles, skateboards, Laser Pointers, or Animals (with the exception of Seeing Eye dogs or trained assistance dogs)

Food and Beverages are not permitted. Guests may bring something in for medical purposes ~ please contact a gate security staff member who can have the item taken to first-aid.

No professional lenses, audio recorders or video recorders can be brought into the event due to contractual agreements between the artists and the event site. Sometimes, artists will permit small non- professional cameras (typically cameras without a detachable lens are considered non-professional) inside the event site.

Items that are acceptable to bring into the event site are the following: umbrellas, blankets, and lawn chairs. Upon entering the event, our guests may be subject to a search. This inspection may include the use of metal detectors. Guests have the right to refuse a search; however, guests may be denied entry to the event.

7. Rules & Policies

The following are non-permitted actions which are enforced at all times on the Rib America event site:

No throwing of any objects. No signs, flags, or banners. No solicitation of any kind on event site. No open fires. No physical abuse of any kind (fighting). Intoxicated guests who exhibit a hostile attitude and or show signs of motor control problems may be refused admittance to event.

There are no refunds or exchanges. Tickets are not transferable and cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed. Valid only for the dates shown on the ticket, for items posted at the venue, such items are subject to availability and will be determined by Promoter. Resale of tickets is prohibited.

The Venue & Promoter reserve the right to refuse service or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly, or who fails to comply with the rules and regulations of the Venue or the terms & conditions contained herein. Any violation of these conditions may be subject one to rejection without refund or ticket price. Holder voluntarily assumes all risk and danger incident to the event, including, but not limited to actions or omissions of third parties over which Venue, Promoter, Sponsor(s), and/or related persons are neither responsible nor liable for any injury, accident, loss or damage to Holder or Holder's property. Rules are subject to change by the Venue or Promoter at any time without prior notice.
